and municipal government agencies. They provide the framework,
policy direction, support programs and funding for each of the
15 Enterprise agencies across New Brunswick.

The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency is the lead federal
government department in the Enterprise Network. ACOA is the
federal government department responsible for helping to build
economic capacity in the Atlantic Provinces by working with
the people of the region - in their communities, through their
institutions and with their local and provincial governments
and businesses - to create jobs and enhance earned incomes.

Business New Brunswick is the lead provincial government department
in the Enterprise Network. BNB generates economic prosperity
by partnering with stakeholders to develop opportunities for
growth, innovation and globalization. Through encouraging
investment, helping businesses export, creating new opportunities
in the film industry and reaching out to immigrants, BNB is
making a difference in communities across the province.
Post-secondary Education, Training and Labour

Post-secondary Education, Training and Labour supports the Enterprise
Network with regional labour market profiles, support of community
and regional planning and workforce development. It also funds
labour force development programs identified by Enterprise
Agencies.
Regional Development Corporation

The Regional Development Corporation's ongoing role is to
provide overall coordination and management services for all
federal-provincial agreements related to regional economic
development. The Corporation staff works closely with federal
and provincial entities involved in economic development in
order to coordinate and address issues related to a particular
sector, industry or region. The RDC provides financial support
to Enterprise Agencies for operational costs and funding of
non-commercial projects.

Human Resources and Social Development Canada mission is to enable Canadians
to participate fully in the workplace and the community. HRSDC
provides support to Enterprise Agencies in the provision of
labour market, workplace and social information. At the regional
level, it also provides programs and services that help in labour
force, economic and social development.
Community Business Development Corporations

CBDCs stimulate private sector employment in rural Atlantic
Canada through business financing, counselling and advisory
services to small businesses. They provide business loans, administer
the Self-Employment Assistance Program and offer other business
support services.
