The Kent Region:
A Good Climate for Entrepreneurs

The coastline of the Kent Region runs southeast from the Miramichi Bay to Shediac Bay, in the heart of one of the richest fishery areas in eastern Canada. The region expands inland to encompass valuable forestry, agricultural, and peat lands.

Implementation of a new economic development strategy, coupled with the proximity of postsecondary institutions, produce a healthy climate for entrepreneurs. There are over 1,500 businesses operating in the area: more than 600 of these are in priority sectors.
